We’ve Come a Long Way, Baby

It has been one heck of a month, between our very demanding jobs, planning a wedding, looking for our next house, and trying to get our current house completed. We’ve been trucking along, like a herd of turtles trudging across a desert, but making progress nonetheless.

First, we finally got the hardwood floors laid in the master bedroom and office. You may recall that we already laid the same floors in the guest bedroom, which you can read about here. I won’t bore you with the details of the long, sweaty, labor-intesive process again, but instead provide a montage of progress photos.

As you can see, we had to get pretty creative with finding heavy items to hold the edges down. Here is a quick look at the office, which took much less time due to its petite size:

This process took many weeks, while we slept in the guest room and avoided letting anyone past the front door, due to the ongoing episode of Hoarders taking place in our living room:

Oh yeah. DIY renovations are so glamorous.
